LifeStyles provides temporary housing for persons who primarily have been homeless in the past. The monthly fee allows individuals and families to have a room and share common facilities with other participants (i.e., kitchen, living room, bathroom facilities). Staff provide oversight of the house, ensure residents abide by house guidelines (i.e., no alcohol or illegal substances, regular cleaning schedule), and provide supportive services to help residents become self-sufficient. The fee-based program allows persons to fix credit and financial management issues.

The “Continuing Home” program objective is to discontinue the cycle of dependency through programs designed to cultivate growth toward self-sufficiency. The program provides homeless individuals a sheltered environment that enables them to work toward addressing barriers which prohibited independence.

Each individual in need of housing is assessed and evaluated during the process of an intake/I.D.P. (Individual Development Plan) meeting. The I.D.P. process consists of a team to include the client. A person may need assistance with health issues, benefits, transportation, daily living and counseling. Services are provided and the progress of the individual is monitored and evaluated to ensure compliance with the I.D.P. and if necessary, adjustments are made. Each participant must have a source of income (i.e., employment, disability, retirement). Each participant of this program is expected to pay program fees according to their residence accommodations and program plan.

The “Continuing Home” program will empower clients to become responsible financially, better providers and ultimately, successful homeowners. Our participants will establish a credit foundation and gain the tools to achieve financial freedom and prosperity. The “Continuing Home” program provides education, guidance, assistance and accountability to ensure our participants are armed with the proper tools to change their future for the better.
